In the wake of her tumultuous journey, Mama June now finds herself in a place of profound regret.

She looks back upon those dark days with a heavy heart, acknowledging the toll her choices have taken on her life and the lives of those she holds dear.

“I say that a lot to my husband [Justin Stroud]. I would be like, "Man, why in the hell did I blow all that money?" I am always thinking about that,” she told the outlet.

“I think about a lot of things I could do with that money. My husband tells me all the time that I can’t dwell on it.”

Embracing a remarkable transformation, the once infamous coupon queen has reemerged with a newfound appreciation for frugality, diligently saving every hard-earned penny.

In 2022, she found herself hospitalized due to severe headaches and debilitating dizziness, a stark reminder of the enduring consequences of her past struggles.

Amidst Shannon's pursuit of answers regarding her deteriorating health, she has undergone extensive medical examinations and undergone numerous tests.

However, despite the efforts of medical professionals, the elusive source of her declining well-being remains an enigma, leaving her in a state of uncertainty and frustration.

Compounding her struggle is the distressing reality of being judged by some healthcare providers due to her past battles with substance abuse.

Shannon bravely opens up about the challenges she faces in seeking medical assistance, revealing that she often encounters unfair judgment and prejudice from certain doctors who allow her history to cloud their perception of her current health concerns.

“I hate that the doctors will look at someone who has been through something in their life, like an addiction, and they think that someone can't change,” Shannon said.

She added: “I just want the answers and I'm not getting them. I’m trying to get into to see the best doctors that I know back in Georgia, but it is taking some time.”

2021 brought legal troubles for the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star.

Shannon found herself facing charges of crack cocaine possession and drug paraphernalia from an arrest in 2019.

Compounding the situation, her ex-boyfriend also faced legal consequences, being arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Despite the gravity of the charges, Shannon was able to avoid imprisonment by reaching an agreement that required her to complete 100 hours of community service.
