King is the mastermind behind the chilling horror film It (2017), which is based on his 1986 novel of the same name.

The story in the book follows seven children who are each tormented by a malevolent force that takes the form of a clown while it hunts them down.

Despite being incredibly terrifying, It proved to be a huge success, grossing over $700 million worldwide.

Due to its success, It Chapter Two was released four years later and also did remarkably well, earning over $473 million at the box office.

Recently, King took to Twitter to suggest a film for his followers to watch, one that he himself has no involvement with.

If the 'king of horror' recommends it, it’s bound to be worth watching.

He tweeted: "Want a tight little thriller that will remind you of Ruth Rendell and Patricia Highsmith? Try I CAME BY (Netflix). It does the job."

The film is about a young rebel who is part of an underground group targeting wealthy individuals by vandalizing their homes with graffiti.

Things take a dramatic turn when he discovers a dark secret at the home of a respected judge, leading to a wild chain of events.

In response to King’s tweet, one user commented: "Such a great film and Hugh Bonneville is a revelation in it.

"He has an ability to turn his eyes cold even when he is smiling, which is chilling.

As well as being fast-paced and entertaining, it asks important questions about buried trauma and virtue signaling."

Another user added humorously: "Never would have thought I would get a movie recommendation from Stephen King, but here we are. Thanks, Twitter!"

Another viewer wrote: "'I Came By' with Hugh Bonneville on Netflix. Just finished it. Scary good."

A third person shared: "If anyone out there, on Twitter Land, wants to know why I can't sleep, I'm watching one of the most scary, harrowing programs ever.

"It's called I Came By. On Netflix. I keep having to pause it and wait till I can carry on. That’s why I can’t sleep. #rtitbot"
