#1 When people talk about how much information Facebook has on us, they aren’t wrong.

There's a way to download the file holding all of the information they have on you, and reading through it is pretty terrifying oh, an embarrassing too.

#2 You can see all of the weird Facebook pages you liked back in 2010 when it was cool to like cringey sentiment Facebook pages.

#3 You can also see every picture you’ve ever posted and where it was taken,

all of your relationship history and also best of all your Facebook messages.

#4 But, in reverse order so that you can start at the hilarious, hilarious beginning.

#5 To do this, head to your settings page, and then under ‘general’ there’s the option to download your data:

#6 Facebook will then gather together all of the information and email it to you when it’s finished trawling through your account’s history.

#7 After that, you’ll be able to download and open a file called ‘index’ which looks like a simplified Facebook profile.

#8 Now, go forth and try not to cringe at every single thing you used to do on Facebook.

But also, make sure to keep this file safe as it holds a lot of information about you.

#9 You can even see which ad’s you’ve clicked on, and what Facebook has assumed your interests are.

Some of these seem a little off, though. ‘First Epistle To The Thessalonians' has never been an interest of mine

#10 You can also see the meta-data attached to photos you upload,

which means Facebook (and other people if they look hard enough) will be able to tell when a photo was taken, on what device and also where it was taken.
