PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) affects millions of people from all over the country.
Sadly, a surprisingly large number of those affected don't get proper treatment and end up succumbing to it.
They end up doing harm to themselves and people who are close to them.
Those with PTSD take medication or go to psychological therapy, but now there is a new form of therapy for veterans with PTSD.

The Lockwood Animal Rescue Center has a new program that allows veterans with PTSD to pair up with rescued wolves.
They have noticed that getting out in nature and spending time with an animal helps the veterans.
The fact that both parties are suffering from a horrible disorder
and can come together to comfort each other is so beautiful it will melt your heart!
