Whenever I go over to my grandparents' house, I feel like I'm entering a different era. I almost feel like I don't recognize anything at all, except them! The decorations are all from several decades ago, my grandpa's tools are less high-tech than my father's, and they don't even have a flat screen TV. Of course, just because something is old doesn't mean it doesn't work well. I just wish I knew what all of these random things are in their garage.
Here are 8 vintage household objects that people can't figure out what they were used for. The answers are at the very end!
SHARE this article with your Facebook friends, this is pretty hard!
2. What is this scary-looking contraption?
3. What's this small gadget for?
4. This small object with a wheel and crank is totally unfamiliar to me.
5. It seems like every tool back in the day had a crank...
6. This thing looks pretty brutal, actually.
7. Is this used for painting or something?
8. Last but not least, we have this metal object. Any clue?
The answers are all on the next page!
The object on the left is actually a vintage sprinkler, notice all the tiny holes? On the right is a primitive mouse trap.
How many mice does this person have?!
On the left is a vintage electric grass cutter from the 1950s. On the right is an old school hand drill from the 1940s!
Yes, that's right. People would get on their hands and knees and use this thing to cut their lawn. They have really improved on both of these tools...
On the left is an early version of a meat grinder. On the right is an old meat tenderizer.
Both of these tools still exist and still look quite similar.
On the left is an ice cream sandwich maker from 1925. On the right is a pot strainer from the 1950s.
