An influencer has found a quick unconventional method to earn some extra income.
It's widely acknowledged that the world of fetishes is vast and varied, but it turns out there's a niche market for something as peculiar as farts.
While many of us might pay to ensure our partners keep their flatulence to themselves, there are individuals out there willing to spend money on jars containing the farts of Cheng Wing Yee.
According to her own website, Cheng, who goes by Kiaraakitty online, is offering her farts in jars for up to $300 each.
This certainly isn't the modern twist on Christina Perri's 'Jar of Hearts' anyone was anticipating, right?
The product's intriguing description invites potential buyers with the line:
"Are you curious how your favourite streamer Kiaraakitty smells like? DON'T JUST IMAGINE IT, FEED YOUR CURIOSITY."
And it seems quite a few people couldn't resist satisfying their curiosity, as, at the moment, the 21-year-old influencer has sold every single one of her fart jars.
However, Cheng's entrepreneurial spirit doesn't stop at selling her flatulence.
The Instagram and OnlyFans celebrity also offers a range of personal items for sale, including used bath water, used lingerie, used stockings, and used bikinis.
Among these, Cheng's bath water stands as the priciest item, fetching an eye-watering $500.
While Cheng's venture into selling farts might seem unique, she isn't the pioneer in this unusual business.
Stephanie Matto, famed for her appearance on "90 Day Fiancé," previously earned a staggering $200,000 by selling her own fart jars.
However, her dedication to this peculiar business eventually led to a health scare, landing her in the hospital.
In 2022, Stephanie mistakenly thought she was experiencing stroke symptoms, but it turned out to be severe gas pains caused by her diet, which was tailored to produce more flatulence.
Following this frightening incident, Stephanie decided to scale down her physical fart jar business and transition to selling them as NFTs (non-fungible tokens) instead.
She explained her decision, stating, "It was towards the end of my time doing the mass orders of fart jars that I began to see the toll it was taking on my body and health.
"I thought maybe digitizing the farts and putting them out into the metaverse was the best way to keep the farts going."
Since then, Stephanie has launched her own platform, Unfiltrd, aiming to offer "the most fun, exciting, and innovative way to bring fans and creators closer together."
One can only hope that Kiaraakitty's foray into the fart-selling business won't adversely affect her health as it did for Stephanie.
