An incident with the King's guard caught on camera has left the internet unimpressed with the majority calling out the guard for scaring a little kid and not stopping in time to let the kid pass gently. Many called the guard mean and his reaction a little too overboard.
A King's Guard shouted 'stand clear' that saw a little girl running away in terror.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, the guard can be seen striding purposefully from an archway, sword in hand.
Meanwhile, a little girl comes into his pathway unexpectedly and is seen standing aimlessly. So with the intention to move the girl away from his way, the guard purposely yells 'stand clear' and she runs away terrified and the guard continues his way.

The video which has been viewed more than 3 million times has left the internet divided with opinion.
On the one hand, a lot of people thought the guard's response to the girl standing in the way was overboard.
Commenting on the clip, one person said: "Did he really need to scare the little one like that?"

Another wrote: "Guys how was she supposed to know he was gonna walk round the corner?"
A third added: "Regardless what their job is. That's mean and uncalled for."

However, others empathised with the guard, arguing that he was simply trying to do his job.
One person wrote: "Parents should've told the kid to stay close, it’s not exactly a well kept secret that the King's Guards are scary and shout."
Another agreed: "People really think he's going to be like 'oh excuse me sweetheart can you move?'"
While another added: "These guys are not a public attraction they carry out a duty."
Whatever you make of it, at least the girl wasn't trampled.

Last year in December another video of a royal guard went viral which saw him knocking a kid to the ground.
In the short clip - shared anonymously on TikTok - two royal guards were seen marching as families watched them. However, unexpectedly a little child stepped in the path of one of the guards but instead of stopping, he continued to march forward, knocking the kid down in his path.

As the guard marched forward, onlookers were seen gasping in response, however, the kid was quick enough to get back to his feet and move back unharmed.
Judging from the caption, it seemed as though the kid in question was from a family who was spending their first day visiting England.
