#1 It all started with a joke.

Every year in February, people like to joke about things happening on the 29th-31st of February because as we all know, February only has 28 days in non-leap years and 29 days maximum. Just as these kinds of jokes are inevitably played each year, there are thousands of sap who fall for them. This year the Allen County Sheriff's Office decided to join in on the fun.

#2 People lost their minds.

Once people read the post they started flipping out posting all sorts of reasons that this wasn't fair. People tried their best to help the less intelligent people understand that it was a joke but they just didn't get it.

#3 It took some people awhile to figure out the game.

Some of the commenters fell for the bait hook line and sinker only realizing after they made themselves look like complete idiots that it was a ruse.

#4 Others were not so lucky.

Some people got so upset that they believed that the sheriff's office was violating their basic rights as Americans. They tried so hard to sound smart that they just ended up looking like bigger fools than they started out being.

#5 Someone even made it about race.

That's right, someone even tried to play the race card on the post. It's pretty sad that some people would even go there but that's the world we live in.

#6 The butthurt was endless.

Comments like the one below litter the post. Angry residents that are furious about the joke keep coming out of the woodworks to blast the sheriff's office. With every comment, the Allen County account fires back with a witty comeback that just drives home the fact that these people can ill-equipped for battle.
