Japanese Railways Are Building Special Crossings For Turtles

#1.The West Japan Railway Company recently teamed up with Suma Aqualife Park in Kobe to make their tracks safer -- for turtles. Every year, dozens of turtles wander onto their tracks, get stuck, and cause delays and damage.
#2.So, several "turtle escape" tunnels have now been fitted across problem points in the tracks. And since August, they've reportedly prevented 10 incidents.

#3.Several countries have tried similar things to protect wildlife in the past - including duck lanes in the United Kingdom.
