Jason Derulo was left stunned staring at the camera after a TikTok trend went wrong.
Jason Derulo learned the hard way that not all TikTok trends are worth the hype, especially when he ended up 'losing' a tooth in the process.
Social media is a treasure trove of distractions when you're looking to kill some time.
There's always a new dance routine, a meme, or some other wild activity making rounds on the internet.
Essentially, there's no shortage of trends or challenges you can try out right from your living room.
However, the music star discovered that diving into these trends can sometimes backfire, as he 'appeared' to lose a tooth during a TikTok food trend back in 2020.
Derulo decided to try eating corn on the cob using a drill... yes, an actual power drill.
Consider this a WARNING: the video you might stumble upon online contains a spectacular level of foolishness.
It seems obvious that attempting to eat corn on a cob attached to a spinning drill, or any power tool for that matter, is a bad idea.
In fact, a solid piece of advice would be 'just don’t mess around with power tools' as you go about your daily activities.
In his video, Derulo took on a viral challenge that many others had attempted before (for reasons beyond our understanding).
He started by attaching a yellow DeWalt drill (though other brands are available) to the cob and then set it spinning.
The plan, it seems, was to use this questionable 'life hack' to speed-eat the corn by holding the spinning cob to his mouth and letting the drill handle the rest.
However, the only thing the drill really worked on was the popular singer's teeth.
It’s safe to say he might be in need of a good dentist, as he screamed in pain and quickly pulled away from the power tool, revealing that his two front teeth were severely chipped.
Looks like he might be waiting until Christmas to get a new set, if he's lucky.
Fortunately, the 'Wiggle' singer later revealed he was just pulling a prank on his followers.
Nonetheless, just the thought of it is enough to make anyone cringe.
Interestingly, this isn't the first time Derulo has pranked his fans involving his teeth.
A while ago, he was doing a handstand by his pool when he supposedly fell in.
As he emerged from the water, he showed off what looked like a 'broken' tooth.
Luckily, that too was just a stunt involving a fake tooth.
Jason, maybe it's time to think twice before tempting fate with these dental disaster pranks!
