A text exchange between Jennifer Aniston, star of Friends, and her late co-star Matthew Perry has been published.

On November 15, Aniston posted a tribute to Perry on Instagram. Perry was discovered dead on October 28 at his Los Angeles home.

Aniston shared a screenshot of one of her text messages with Chandler Bing, her co-star from Friends, in remembrance of the characters Rachel Green and Perry.

Co-stars David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and Courteney Cox also posted on the same day that Aniston did.

Aniston's post read: "Oh boy this one has cut deep... Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before.”

"We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply.”

"He was such a part of our DNA. We were always the six of us. This was a chosen family that forever changed the course of who we were and what our path was going to be. For Matty, he KNEW he loved to make people laugh.”

"As he said himself, if he didn't hear the ‘laugh’ he thought he was going to die. His life literally depended on it. And boy did he succeed in doing just that. He made all of us laugh. And laugh hard.”

"In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been poring over our texts to one another. Laughing and crying then laughing again. I’ll keep them forever and ever. I found one text that he sent me out of nowhere one day. It says it all. (See the second slide…)"

The texts reveal the exchanges between the two, with Perry sending Aniston a black and white photo of the two of them from the Friends set.

On October 28, Perry's terrible death occurred when his helper, who had temporarily left his house to pick up some items for him, discovered him underwater in the hot tub at his residence.

Perry's death certificate was made public earlier this month. The cause of the actor's death has been postponed until after the findings of a toxicology assessment, even though it is thought that he drowned accidentally.

Only prescription drugs were discovered in Perry's residence, according to the authorities, despite the fact that the actor had previously disclosed his years-long battle with drug addiction.

In addition, Perry acted in a number of movies, such as Getting In with comedian Dave Chappelle, Fools Rush In featuring Salma Hayek, and 17 Again with Zac Efron.

Alongside Bruce Willis, who made an appearance as a guest performer in the sixth season of Friends, he starred in The Whole Nine Yards and The Kid.

Perry never got married and called off his engagement to talent manager Molly Hurwitz in 2021.

He dated a number of well-known actors and actresses, such as Lizzy Caplan and Julia Roberts.
