Jennifer Lawrence humorously shared her worst date story on Chicken Shop Date, promoting her film No Hard Feelings where she tries to charm a socially awkward teenager for a car.
Jennifer Lawrence Says Guy She Went On Worst Ever Date With Is Dead Now
Taxes, death, and having a bad date are a few things that are inevitable in life.
Jennifer Lawrence appears to be no exception to that norm.
On a recent episode of Chicken Shop Date, hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg, the actor made a cameo appearance as part of the promotion for her newest film No Hard Feelings.
With the celebrity guest answering questions while seated at a London chicken store, the YouTube show adopts a laid-back interviewing style.
Lawrence was questioned first by Dimoldenberg: "What's the worst date you've ever been on?"
The Hunger Games star recalled: "I mean, it was my fault.”
"This guy was really really cute... he's dead now actually."
Say what?
Dimoldenberg appears confused about how to respond as Lawrence continues her account by describing: "I laughed too hard at a joke and I kept laughing and laughing.”
"It annoyed him. And everyone at the theatre.”
"It wasn't even a comedy, it was just something that happened that struck my funny bone.”
"I just went on and on and on... until he died."
It's obvious that the last sentence was a joke.
Although Lawrence's mystery suitor's identity has not been made public, it is not shocking that she has given this information about herself.
No Hard Feelings is centered on Lawrence's character Maddie, an Uber driver who loses her car to an ex. She responds to a posting by a couple (Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti) looking for someone to "date" their socially awkward 19-year-old son (Andrew Barth Feldman) because she needs to acquire herself a new set of wheels.
Maddie has to try to seduce a very 'unf**kable' teenager since his parents want to help him come out of his shell because if she achieves this she'll get a car.
It's reasonable to say that things don't go quite how Maddie had hoped.
In a moment where her character goes skinny dipping in an effort to give a teen some experience, Lawrence even went completely nude.
Lawrence explained to Variety why she chose to enter the fray: “Everyone in my life and my team is doing the right thing and going, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure?’ I didn’t even have a second thought. It was hilarious to me.”
