John Cena Stuns The Internet With Fluent Mandarin Speech!

#1 Didn’t See This Coming…

I guess we're pretty accustomed to witnessing John Cena pulling of some pretty good moves inside the confines of the ring, but perhaps his latest move outside of it is his most impressive yet!

#2 Mandarin Speaker?

It turns out the champion wrestler is a bit better at speaking Mandarin than we thought he was. Cena began learning Mandarin as the WWE aimed to strengthen its position in the Chinese market. In 2013, he gave a bit of a sample during a press conference where he gave Chinese fans about 10 or 12 seconds of Mandarin, but it was nothing like this

#3 At A Press Event In Shanghai

At a press conference in Shanghai this week, Cena took to the microphone and busted out a whole speech in Mandarin! He impressed fans and journos alike with around two and a half minutes, all in the local language.

#4 Another String In His Bow

We've already seen him star outside of the ring, not only as an action hero as we might have expected, but in comedy films such as Trainwreck, too. As it turns out, John Cena is a talented man. Mastering Mandarin is said to be up there with the difficult languages for a native English speaker, like Japanese and Arabic.

#5 Keep Practicing!

Online users and press members have each been singing the big guy's praises since, however, it seems like he has some way to go. Other Mandarin speakers have commented that while his vocab is impressive, his pronunciation is a bit hit and miss.
