Recently, Johnny Depp's attorneys Camille Vasquez and Benjamin appeared on TODAY, Good Morning America, and on the Law and Crime network and responded to Amber Heard's claims regarding the defamation trial being unfair.

They shared with the world that Depp is very happy after his victory and that "the actor hasn't smiled like this in six years."

"I was speaking with another friend of ours, a mutual friend of Johnny's and ours and he said, 'I haven't seen Johnny smile like that in six years,'" Vasquez revealed.

Good Morning America

Heard had made claims that she lost the trial due to Depp being more powerful and popular than The attorneys responded to the claims by saying that it's utterly false and social media, according to them, did not play a part in Depp's victory. The jury, they shared, did not like Amber Heard because she didn't take accountability for anything.

It got interesting when the two mentioned that Depp might waive the $8million judgement Amber was ordered to pay him.

When asked about the judgement, Depp's attorneys said, "This was never about money for Mr. Depp. This was about restoring his reputation and he's done that. We have to be careful what we say but this was about Mr. Depp's reputation but that was what it was about for him."

Chew further talked about the lack of accountability from Heard's side.

"My sense is that it had a lot to do with accountability. Johnny owned his issues, he was very candid about his alcohol and drug issues, he was candid about some unfortunate texts that he wrote, and I think it was a sharp contrast to Ms Heard, who didn't seem... or at least the jury may have perceived that she didn't take accountability for anything," he said.

"There was a real contrast. Johnny took ownership of a lot of things... She had an answer for everything and she wasn't taking accountability for anything. I think that made a difference," he added.

"The key to victory was focusing on the facts and the evidence and Johnny's opportunity to speak the truth for the first time. He was able to connect with the jury and the general public and tell what really happened," Vasquez shared.

"My view is that social media played no role whatsoever this was a decision made by the jury on the evidence. It was overwhelmingly in Depp's favor," Chew added.

Vasquez shared that the experience was overwhelming for her and she hoped her newfound fame will inspire young girls to stay in school and pursue legal careers.

"It's been overwhelming and surreal but if I can encourage young women to stay in school and maybe inspire them to pursue a legal career, then it is all worth it," she said.

Heard, in response, released a statement, calling Depp's words inappropriate.

"As Johnny Depp says he's 'moving forward,' women's rights are moving backward. The verdict's message to victims of domestic violence is ... be afraid to stand up and speak out."
