Dr. Nadine Macaluso was the real-life inspiration for Margot Robbie's character, 'The Duchess,' in the movie The Wolf of Wall Street.

She is renowned for her talent in differentiating between what is true and what is fabricated in the film.

Given Dr. Macaluso's unique perspective, it's no surprise that many fans have been eagerly awaiting her thoughts on the infamous nursery scene.

In the scene, Naomi Lapaglia, played by Robbie, sexually taunts her husband, Jordan Belfort, played by DiCaprio, in their child's nursery after a heated argument.

The scene has been a point of contention since the movie's release, with many questioning its accuracy.

With Dr. Macaluso's firsthand knowledge of the events, fans can finally better understand whether this scene was a product of Hollywood's imagination or a depiction of actual events.

The nursery scene is undoubtedly one of the most memorable and talked-about scenes in The Wolf of Wall Street.

As mentioned in the scene, Lapaglia's seduction of Belfort takes an unexpected turn when he reveals the presence of hidden cameras in a teddy bear on the drawers, which capture their intimate moment for all to see.

It's a dramatic and shocking turn of events that leaves Lapaglia humiliated and exposed.

Despite the scene's significance, it's not surprising that fans of the film have been questioning its authenticity.

It's fascinating to hear from Dr. Macaluso herself about the accuracy of the nursery scene. According to her recent comments, it seems that the scene was indeed a product of Hollywood's imagination.

In contrast to Lapaglia's seductive antics, Dr. Macaluso recalls a more mundane reality.

In a recent interview, she revealed that the room was indeed used as a nursery, but it was just a regular room without any hidden cameras or steamy encounters.

On her TikTok, she said:

So many of you ask me – ‘is that scene in the nursery real?’ Well, I’m gonna break it down for you.

Do your remember that scene where Margot is laying back and Jordan comes in and Margot – me – had the baby in her arms and she’s so mad at him for cheating on her for the hundredth time, and so she’s in the nursery and she lifts up her leg and says ‘there’s going to be nothing but short skirts around here’ – did that ever happen?

No way! I am not that sexy. I wish I was, but I think that was my ex-husband’s fantasy of what he wanted me to be like.

Secondly, there were cameras in the room, but I did not perform that sexual seductive act towards him.

In the case of the nursery scene, it seems that the truth was far less dramatic than in the Hollywood version. Dr. Macaluso's comments provide a valuable perspective on the accuracy of the film's portrayal of her relationship with Jordan Belfort.

So, turns out the truth isn't always stranger than fiction, folks. Case in point: that wild nursery scene from The Wolf of Wall Street.

Dr. Macaluso, the inspiration behind Margot Robbie's character, spilled the beans on TikTok and revealed that the scene was all in her ex-husband's head. No leg-lifting or seduction involved, sorry to disappoint.

While the film may be known for its over-the-top depiction of excess and debauchery, remember that not everything in the movie actually happened.

Robbie has revealed that filming the nursery scene was far from sexy. In fact, she admitted that she had been "secretly dreading" the whole thing.

It's not hard to see why - in the scene, she had to pleasure herself in front of a room full of men. As she put it, she was effectively masturbating on camera.

It's a testament to her talent that she was able to pull off the scene with such conviction, despite feeling uncomfortable about it.

She said:

[I was] secretly dreading that scene,

That was going to be more uncomfortable to watch than the sex scene at the end. It was going to be really awkward.

It doesn’t come across when you’re watching the movie, but in reality, we’re in a tiny bedroom with 30 crew crammed in. All men.

“And for 17 hours I’m pretending to be touching myself. It’s just a very weird thing and you have to bury the embarrassment and absurdity, really deep, and fully commit.

Another scene in the film that left viewers uneasy was when Belfort punched Naomi in the stomach during sex.

Margot Robbie has also opened up about filming that particular scene, saying that the intention was to make it "the most tragic sex scene you've ever seen."

It's clear that Robbie and the filmmakers wanted to portray the disturbing and abusive nature of Belfort and Naomi's relationship and to make sure that viewers understood just how toxic it was.

Just uncomfortable and tragic.

Uncomfortable, because we wanted him to be so unaware of her repulsion towards him.

Because so much of the nursery scene got cut out, something that you kind of miss is that [Jordan and Naomi] had a sick sort of aspect to their relationship

Not them as the real people, but the characters we created.

He’s got this sexual obsession with her, and she uses her sexuality to manipulate him, so they both play these weird sort of f***ed up sex games to just mess with each other.
