Katy Perry once ranked an ex-boyfriend above her fiancé when talking about who was better in bed.
Katy Perry made headlines when she shared which of her exes was better in bed compared to her current fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
The 'Roar' singer, known for being open about her relationship, has often spoken about how great things are between her and Bloom, even revealing that he earns a special reward when he helps out around the house—like putting away the dishes (yes, you heard that right).
Even though the couple is now strong and share a child, their journey hasn't always been smooth. They actually broke up just 10 months into dating back in 2017, but eventually found their way back to each other.
During the time they were apart, Perry, who will soon celebrate her 40th birthday, released her 2017 album, Witness.
This album, featuring hits like 'Chained to the Rhythm' and 'Bon Appétit,' was heavily promoted. Perry even went as far as to host a continuous YouTube live stream to create buzz around its release.
In this live stream, she slept, went through a therapy session, and in one memorable moment, played a game with British comedian James Corden that had everyone talking.
Corden, known for his bold and playful interviews, challenged Perry to a game of 'Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.'
For those who don’t know, 'Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts' is a game where celebrities are faced with tough questions. They can either answer or eat something really disgusting if they choose not to spill the truth.
During the game, Corden took the opportunity to ask Perry about her past relationships. He wanted to know how she would rank her exes based on who was the best in bed.
It's the kind of question no one wants to answer, especially not a superstar like Perry on a live stream in front of millions.
Corden kicked off the question, saying: "This is working on the notion that they're all good. Rank John Mayer, Diplo and Orlando Bloom."
Initially, Perry tried to avoid answering by shouting 'No!' and trying to dodge the uncomfortable question.
But if she refused, she’d have to eat a '1,000-year-old egg.' With that on the line, she gave in and answered.
Perry placed Diplo in third, Orlando Bloom in second, and John Mayer at the top. Corden remarked: "But we're saying all three are exceptional."
However, Perry made sure to clarify her comment, explaining: "Gentlemen, I love you and you know that I love you and it's not about that, it's just maybe I just haven't had enough time to have sex with you."
It seemed like she wanted to make sure her words didn’t cause too much trouble.
While Bloom has never publicly responded to her ranking, John Mayer, who took the top spot, had his own reaction.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Mayer simply stated: "I don't have a cool-enough thought for you."
Perry dated John Mayer, the singer known for hits like 'Stop This Train,' on and off from 2012 to 2015. Meanwhile, her ex Diplo, who she ranked last, also responded to her comments in his own way.
The two briefly dated in 2014, and Diplo took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to offer a harsh response: "I don't even remember having sex."
Despite the playful remarks, Perry’s ranking hasn’t seemed to affect her future.
She and Bloom have enjoyed a happy relationship since 2018, following her previous marriage to Russell Brand.
