Dealing with different types of fans, even out-of-control ones, is part of being a well-known celebrity in the entertainment industry.

While some celebrities are used to such situations, Keanu Reeves was shocked to find himself involved in a legal dispute with a fan.

The incident took place in 2020 in which Reeves was shocked to learn that Karen Sala, a total stranger, claimed he was the father of her four adult children.

The "John Wick" actor was called to testify in court after the charge reached a high level.

Sala claimed Reeves was the biological father of her children in 2020, who were then 21, 22, 23, and 25 years old.

She asked for $150,000 per month in child support starting in 1988 and a staggering $3 million per month in spousal support, retroactive to 2006.

She uttered:

"I do know for a fact that he is the biological father."

The woman, who had been married before, said that she and Reeves had an intimate relationship during the period of her marriage that carried on after it ended.

She said they had shared a home for a while and that he had been present when several of her children were born.

Sala claimed to have evidence of their relationship, but she wouldn't present it to the judge.

In addition, she claimed that they spent their young years in the same town of Barrie whereas, in reality, Reeves resided in Toronto, 100 kilometers away, before to his leaving for Hollywood in 1986.

Sala claimed to have known the "Matrix" star since she was four or five years old, but they had lost touch until they reconnected.

She claimed he used various names. She added: "I didn't know he was Keanu Reeves. To me, he was Marty Spenser."

Reeves, on the other hand, claimed that accusing him of being a father was the craziest thing a fan ever did to him.

He added, "I had to go to court. It was horrible. I didn't do it. I'm not the dad." Reeves claims to have never met the woman.

Sala's claims were also dismissed by his lawyer as "completely false and absurd," particularly after she claimed that the "Speed" actor used hypnosis to pose as Sala's ex-husband and conceive her.

Reeves' attorney Lorne Wolfson has stated during their divorce proceedings that he thinks Sala's ex-husband is the biological father of her four children.

To support her claims, a paternity test was administered to Sala's children.

She declined to test her ex-husband's DNA though and to produce the birth certificates for her children.

Wolfson declared: "Her evidence is, at best, incredible. There is clearly no triable issue."

The woman's children's father was not Reeves, according to DNA testing.

She questioned the findings, though, and brought up issues with them, including the potential for tampering with the evidence or Reeves utilizing hypnosis once more to sway the decision in his favor.

Later, an Ontario court rejected the case, stating that a trial would be "a waste of the limited judicial resources."

"Any sane judge would reject the woman's claims", Judge Fred Graham also told the court.

Reeves' experience is surely one he won't forget, and even though he wasn't the father of Sala's children, that doesn't mean he didn't have children of his own.

The "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" actor and actress Jennifer Syme, whom he met at a concert for his band, "Dogstar," had a kid together in the past.

They immediately started a life together after falling in love. However, the collapse of their marriage was just as painful as the passing of their daughter.

In 1999, Reeves and Syme fell in love, and soon after, they learned the great news that the actress was expecting.

Unfortunately, their happiness was short-lived as they unexpectedly lost their newborn daughter, Ava Archer Symes-Reeves, a few months into the pregnancy.

The baby was born on Christmas Eve, and the couple struggled to deal with the loss. Particularly Syme struggled with postpartum depression until the distance between the two led to their breakup.

Syme and Reeves were supposedly trying to mend things in 2001 when another tragedy occurred.

The 28-year-old actress was visiting Marilyn Mason's house for a party when she was involved in an accident.

Reeves was devastated as he assisted other pallbearers in carrying his lover's coffin during the funeral to be buried next to their daughter.

According to Mirror, Reeves stated the following in an earlier interview after the incident: "Grief changes shape, but it never ends."

When loved ones pass away, he said, it can feel lonely. He must admit that he occasionally considers how his life would have developed had they been here.

Sadly, the actor's life was also tragically affected by the deaths of Ava and Syme. Reeves saw his father leave his mother to raise their family by herself when he was just three years old.

As a result, he and his family were forced to relocate numerous times, living in places like Hawaii, New York, Australia, and Canada.

He also had dyslexia, which made learning difficult for him. At the age of 17, he left high school. But his mother was his biggest pillar of support.

After getting his big break in the movie "Bill and Ted," things started to get better, and he has since grown to be one of Hollywood's biggest stars ever known.
