Keanu Reeves Says He Has No Problem With Being The ‘Internet’s Boyfriend’
During the press tour for John Wick: Chapter 4, Keanu Reeves spoke with People and shared that he has no objection to being labeled as the internet's boyfriend, and he is thankful for the affection he receives from his fans online.
I mean, honestly, is there a man who is more loved by everyone?
"I really appreciate the goodwill," he told the outlet.
While many have found great amusement in posting candid pictures of the Matrix star doing everything from eating a sandwich to giving up his subway spot to someone else, Reeves is perfectly content with being the internet's top man.
The 58-year-old is loved in real life as well, as evidenced by the recent engagement of a fan in the audience of an exclusive preview of his newest movie.
Standing ovations from the audience greeted Reeves and director Chad Stahelsk as they entered the platform for a special Q&A at the 2023 South By Southwest (SXSW) film festival, according to Variety.
The response completely astounded Reeves and Stahelski, and the director exclaimed: “This is one of the best audiences of all time.”
During the conference, Reeves mentioned that he had retained Wick's watch and wedding band from the previous films, to which a spectator screamed: “I’ll marry you!”
The action star replied: “Yeah, be careful what you wish for."
Even during the tensest press junkets, this guy always manages to maintain his humility.
The advanced showing, which has so far gotten raving reviews, had everyone buzzing.
One of the "greatest action films ever," according to many, the upcoming action film received an impressive 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
A reviewer from Cinapse named the movie "simply one of the greatest action films of this generation, and perhaps of all time," upping the stakes on the "greatest action movie" claim.
While Jeff York for The Establishing Shot said it's "slicker and funnier" than previous films, John Nguyen for The Hollywood Reporter said adding chapter four takes it to a "higher level."
The release date for John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled for March 23.
