Luckily (for others), attractiveness doesn't rely solely on the esthetic of being great to look at. There are other factors at play.

Let's get this one out of the way first of all because it may seem the most simple.
This is the basic way in which someone is attractive in that, you either find their facial features attractive or you don't. This doesn't take in to account anything other than the way they look at a snapshot.
This is pretty much body language. You know when someone moves a certain way or goes about some sort of task in a way that just seems a bit cooler than the way others do it? This is called dynamic attractiveness.
It's how somebody expresses their personality. Their cool factor. which is all relative and subjective, of course. I think this is what that Outkast song was aboutProbably.
You might think this guy is hot because of his hair and the way he dresses as much as his actual physical features. Or you might think he looks like he's trying a bit too hard for your tastes.
This is the bit that completely changes when someone has a "makeover".
Perhaps the others are relatively straight-forward when compared to this one.
There has been a lot of research which shows that it is the situation that often has a great influence over how attractive you find someone. That is, if you enjoy an awesome and personally rewarding experience, the person who was there with you during that time will become more attractive to you.
