#1 Boating Group Is Overwhelmed By Fish

There's an invasion occurring in the U.S. right now, and it's not coming from other countries or militia movements. No, this invasion poses a more natural threat: that of the Asian carp, a species of fish considered highly invasive in the U.S.

Asian carp are foreign fish that were imported into the U.S. in the 1970's for the purpose of cleaning pond water in southern fish farms. They have, however, taken over the Great Lakes in numerous quantities, and spread into rivers that flow from the lakes.

#2 They Were Attacked By The Invasive Asian Carp

Asian carp can weigh up to a whopping 70 pounds and grow to four feet long. The fish are disturbed by the sound of motors so they leap out of the water in fear, making them incredibly easy to catch.

The DEC has asked that people never return them to waters they were fished out of because they are largely invasive, extremely over-populated and ruin eco systems faster than almost any other introduced predator.

#3 The Fish "JUMP" When They Hear Noise and Can Weigh Up To 100 Pounds

For many, the footage is unlike anything they've ever seen, but for others more familiar with Asian carp, the scene is not only recognizable, but also somewhat disturbing.

This group had over 70 fish in their boat by the time they finished their trip down the river.
