Knotted Umbilical Cord Didn't Stop This Healthy Baby's Birth

Childbirth is a beautiful, beautiful thing. While it may not be the most appetizing sight to behold, it is definitely amazing and heartwarming. Being able to give birth to your child is absolutely astonishing, and so is the chance to be there to watch it happen. Sadly, this is not always the case with birth. Things can go terribly wrong. This father snapped a picture of a potential disaster that could've changed his life.

#1 There is, no doubt, a ton of tension while waiting for childbirth. There are so many things that COULD go wrong.
#2 While it's easy to worry about everything that could go wrong, it's easy to forget that the likelihood of these things is actually pretty low.
#3 Recently, a father posted to Reddit about what happened during his child's birth and it was something crazy.
#4 It turned out that his child had a knotted umbilical cord.
Upon noticing this, the doctor said, "Hurry up Dad, take a picture your baby is a miracle."
#5 It looks scary, right? Well, that's because it is.
#6 A true knot (what they're referred to) is something that can be extremely dangerous.
The umbilical cord provides oxygen and nutrients to the baby, so having a knot in the cord providing these essentials is very bad.
#7 The knot can lead to all kinds of disabilities in the baby, or even worse, it can cause the baby to die.
The fact that his baby was birthed without issues was truly a miracle.
