Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are seeking a legal name change for their son, as they reportedly regret the name they originally gave him last year. The couple has filed court documents to change their one-year-old's name from Wolfe Jacques Webster to Aire Webster.
Kylie Jenner And Travis Scott File To Legally Change Son's Name After Regretting First Choice
Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner have applied to legally change their son's name.
Back in February of last year, the pair revealed the birth of their second child, whose name was later revealed to be Wolf Jacques Webster.
They soon admitted, though, that they had changed their minds and were abandoning the name because it didn't really fit him.
"Fyi our son's name isn't Wolf anymore," she wrote on Instagram.
"We just really didn't feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere."
The public longed for the name Jenner and Scott would give their unborn child for months.
Fans pleaded for news on Instagram, but they were forced to wait until November of last year to get any clue.
Aire was the choice made by the couple.
Many fans praised Kylie and Travis for choosing such a cute-sounding name, but others expressed worry that if it were spoken aloud in Arabic, some people might mistakenly assume you were talking about a "penis" if you said it aloud.
Yes, that actually did happen.
It appears the couple hadn't updated their baby boy's name on official records until now, after eventually announcing it.
According to TMZ, they have filed the necessary paperwork to have their son's name changed from Wolf to Aire.
The couple reportedly expressed regret over their original name selection of Wolf Jacques Webster in their official submission.
"Now that Petitioners have had the chance to spend time with their baby, they believe the name Aire Webster is a better fit," the document reportedly says.
When she signed her son's birth certificate, Jenner acknowledged that she would want to alter his name, but she had to write something down.
In September, during an interaction with James Corden, she made a statement: "We had to quickly sign the birth certificate, and then I knew the second I signed the birth certificate that I was probably gonna change his name.”
"It just didn't suit him.”
"We haven't legally changed his name yet. We're in the process, so it just wouldn't feel right to share anything when we don't have an official name."
At least now they have settled on Aire and he joins their first-born child Stormi, who was born in 2018.
The pair split between the births of their two children, but they reunited after spending time together during the lockdown for the benefit of their daughter.
