Lawn Mower Tragedy Split His Face In Three, But This Kid’s Courageous Recovery Inspires Us All.

Meet four-year-old Jacob Roberts, a little boy who suffered a tragic accident that would change his life forever.

One day he was helping his father with the lawn work, he began to feel a little ill while riding on the lawnmower with his dad, Brad. So his father told him to go back inside, put his earbuds in, and continued on with his chore. That's when things went south as apparently Jacob, unbeknownst to his father, had come back outside. Not realizing what was going on, Brad continued mowing, until he backed over something.

That something, was Jacob. He'd accidentally chopped off some of his son's fingers on his left hand and split his face in three places.

"I picked the lawnmower off Jacob's body and yelled for my wife to call 911,"

said Brad.

Luckily, they got him to the hospital in time for the good doctors at Arnold Palmer Hospital to perform the necessary procedures to help piece his face back together; unluckily, they weren't able to save the fingers. That was four years ago.

He's still not fully recovered, and for a boy his age, understands that very well, even stating that he knows the way he looks "won't last forever."

Despite all of this, little Jacob has still managed to keep a positive outlook on life. He still manages to play sports, video games, and has a whole slew of positive friends that he enjoys spending time with.
