Lizzo, the popular singer behind ‘Truth Hurts’, posted on her Instagram, showcasing her radiant skin and stunning bed hair, serving as a reminder that she is truly unique and one-of-a-kind.

From haters to body-shamers, Lizzo has faced it all. But that hasn’t stopped the queen of self-love from shining bright. In fact, the recent fatphobic comments from Candace Owens seem to have only made her stronger.

The singer, who was wearing nothing but a grey robe, captioned the video: “I’m sorry that my perfect face and rockin body offends you… I can’t help that I’m God’s favorite.”

The entire controversy began when Candace Owens, a conservative commentator and podcast host, made unprovoked remarks about Lizzo’s body on social media.

After being fat-shamed by a personal trainer who accused her of promoting obesity as ‘healthy,’ Lizzo has hit back with a powerful video promoting body positivity.

“Obesity is on the rise, and yet women are told by celebrities and the media that being obese is normal and ‘healthy’. You never see them try this with men. Only women are insecure enough to fall for it,” ‘trainer and health coach’ Gina Bontempo shared alongside a nude image of Lizzo sipping tea.

In the midst of the controversy, Candace Owens, a prominent conservative figure, also joined in by responding to a tweet from a health coach who shared a nude photo of Lizzo.

“Only women could be emotionally manipulated into supporting their own eradication via support for ‘trans men’.

“Only women could be fooled into supporting a death cult of ‘fat acceptance’. Today’s cultural battles prove that women are more irrational and emotional than men,” Owens said.

She continued: “If you peep comments on any of Lizzo’s ‘fat acceptance’ photos, you will undoubtedly find a score of bats**t insane women telling her that she looks beautiful.

“Men do not lie to other men in this way. They do not pretend that clinical obesity is beauty.”

Numerous people came to Lizzo’s defense following Candace Owens’ comments about the singer’s body, including fans, celebrities, and fellow body positivity advocates.

One person said: “Since you think women are so irrational and emotional, they shouldn’t be taken seriously as authors or business owners. So, maybe get back to cooking and let your rational husband do the work you’re trying to do.“

“Hey @RealCandaceO. I work with a bunch of women leaders here at NASA that prove that your theory is straight trash.”

Another Twitter user replied: “’Bro you got fat as f**k’” to which Owens agreed.

She wrote: “Correct. This is how men speak to each other. They do not celebrate one another’s failures. Men have to be objectively great at something to earn applause from other men. They strive toward excellence.

“Women? Not so much. We lie. Emotional-based lies that are ruining society.”

After receiving backlash for her comments, Owens posted another tweet that included a photo of Lizzo wearing her thong outfit at a Lakers game.

“LOL to everyone telling me that Lizzo is allowed to be naked in public but the public is not allowed to comment on her body,” she continued.

“Gaslight someone else. You don’t get to do outlandish things and then be offended when people comment on your outlandishness. She wants attention.”
