Lucky Reddit user discovers Bill Gates is her Secret Santa and sent her a huge box filled with video games, an XBOX - and a photo-shopped picture of himself stood next to her in a Santa hat. She got the surprise of a lifetime when billionaire Bill Gates turned out to be her Secret Santa on the popular site's gift exchange.

#1 While Receiving, She Was Completely Speechless

Aerrix was ‘flabbergasted' when she received the huge box, and wrote an insanely excited message detailing all the goodies and thanking Bill for his ever-generous nature.

'So then I get the box open and there's just bubble wrap EVERYWHERE, but under the first layer I see a picture...and my jaw. Just. Drops. I will let the picture speak for itself!' Aerrix wrote of the surprise in a Reddit post where she shared photos of the gifts.

#2 The Box Was Chosen By Bill

The box was ultra personalised and carefully chosen by Bill after he scoured her Reddit profile.

Incredibly, the Microsoft co-founder even Photoshopped himself into a photo of Aerixx, her husband and her dog.

The first present she opened were the matching Zelda mittens for herself and her dog, who Bill addressed by name in a note.

#3 A Handwritten Note Was Also There

On the Xbox, there was a handwritten note from Bill reading ‘I love my XBOX and thought you might like one too'.

Gates ‘really knows how to treat a girl to some video games', and it sounds like he nailed her personality.

#4 The Box Was Fully Loaded With These Things

In her special box, Gates included a few gaming essentials such as an NES Classic Edition, wireless XBOX One controllers and XBOX One Minecraft edition.

#5 She Called Her Husband Immediately

She immediately called her husband, who works as a programmer, at work and said, 'Bill Gates is my freakin (sic) Santa!', according to the post.

#6 The Note Was Written As

The initial note at the top of the box Gates sent reads:

'I can't believe your Secret Santa left you hanging last year. To ensure you don't lose faith in the Reddit community, I've enclosed several gifts that I hope you will enjoy.

'There are a few video games to play, some things to keep you warm and three of my favorite movies for you to watch over the holidays.

'I've also made a donation in your name to code.org, to help give more students the chance to learn computer science.'
