After being discovered reportedly filming a female passenger in the bathroom while on duty, a jerk who worked on a cruise ship was fired.

The incident is thought to have taken place on the MSC Meraviglia, a ship operated by MSC Cruises, a company based in France.

Meanwhile, after being shared by the victim, Saja, a film of him being caught in the act has amassed more than 10 million views on TikTok.

She posted the video on social media and wrote: "This man was in the women’s restroom located at the kids club."

Before pointing his camera at her, the guy allegedly locked himself in a nearby bathroom, according to Saja.

She then keeps speaking to another employee in the video, saying: "There’s someone hiding under there filming me. A man!"

The staff member knocks on the door of the bathroom cubicle to inquire about the situation but gets no answer.

But when he looks under the door, he sees two feet.

After that, a second female passenger arrives and starts beating on the door, insisting that the man open it.

A short while later, the man eventually shows up wearing an MSC uniform and says, "I was wrong."

According to cruise news source Crew Center, MSC Cruises stated that they have since fired the staff member accused of conducting the allegedly illegal surveillance.

A spokesperson said: "Our security team did fully cooperate with the authorities on this investigation. We took immediate action to terminate the employment of the crew member involved and support the impacted guests.

"The safety and comfort of our guests and crew is our top priority, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for any misconduct on board our ships."

Saja claimed in a subsequent post that she had received confirmation that the man had indeed been expelled from the country by the officials.
