Simply put, job interviews are some of the most nerve-wracking things that happen to us over the course of a lifetime, and sometimes, it feels like we simply can't do enough to prepare for it. We spend nights awake before the interview wondering what our potential bosses might ask us, wondering if we're a good cultural fit, and wondering if the interviewers might judge us for our appearances.
Male Recruiter Tells Women Not To Wear Their Engagement Rings To Interviews.
#1
This is Bruce Hurwitz. He's an executive recruiter, but he's recently made waves with his rather unsavory comments about women, interviews, and their engagement rings.

Here's part of what he wrote.
Warning: It might make your blood boil.

Long story short, Hurwitz believes that women who wear engagement rings will be viewed as "high maintenance," and that other women would get "jealous" if they saw it.
"When the woman at the office who has the largest diamond on her finger, sees that ring, she will realize that if you are hired she will fall to second place and will, therefore, not like you," he writes. "Lose the ring!"

We don't deny that Hurwitz probably has some solid recruiting experience, but that doesn't change the fact that he sure does have a lot to learn about women. And as far as the interview is concerned, one commenter on Hurwitz's piece summed it up nicely:
"If someone is judging me based on the fact that I have a wedding ring on my finger, I don't want to work for you."
