Man Accidentally Chops Off His Own Testicles While Dreaming That He Was Cutting Meat For Family Meal

After accidentally cutting his testicles while sleeping off, a man is currently in the hospital and trying to gather money for treatment.

Kofi Atta, a 47-year-old farmer from Ghana, fell asleep in a chair and claimed that while dreaming about cutting meat, he managed to pick up a knife and cut himself.

He contacted two neighbors, who arrived at his residence in a dreamlike condition and discovered him alone and covered in blood.

Speaking to BBC Pidgin he said: "I was sitting in my chair when I dozed off. In my sleep, I dreamt that I was cutting some meat in front of me.”

"I don’t remember how I picked up the knife, even I am confused."

When his neighbors showed over, he stated that although he got up and felt a strong pain in his genitals, he was still confused about what had occurred.

Perhaps as a result of the blood loss, Kofi only woke from his dreams while being treated in a hospital. At that point, he realized he had been chopping up his testicles rather than food for a family lunch.

His gruesome wounds were treated by doctors earlier this month, but they informed him that surgery is necessary for a full recovery.

To afford the treatment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, he is currently working to acquire money from well-wishers.
