Real question is - do you believe him?
A man who claims he's a cyborg sent from the future has issued a warning about an imminent apocalypse.
In 2024, it seems we have no shortage of ways the world could potentially end.
Today, we are faced with a wide array of possible apocalyptic scenarios.
We could meet our end dramatically in a nuclear war or more gradually through starvation, disease, and the collapse of society due to the climate crisis.
The Covid-19 pandemic has proven that, despite the advances in modern medicine, we are still not safe from a straightforward, old-school plague.
However, a man named Orrin claims that he has returned from the future in a visit reminiscent of a scene from "Terminator."
The study of how the world might end is known as 'eschatology,' and over time, humans have envisioned many different end-time scenarios.
These could involve events such as the second coming of Christ in Christianity or the emergence of the Mahdi in Islam, each signaling the final judgment.
In Hindu eschatology, the world's end comes as morality wanes and dharma is eventually restored.
Orrin's perspective doesn't seem to aim for such lofty ideals.
During an appearance on Dr. Phil, he stated: "We are a collective conscious and it is our collective responsibility to guide Earth from the apocalypse in 2050."
Orrin continued: "We need revolution. Right now, the current system, such as socio-political status, has marginalized people based on their appearance and voice."
"We must overhaul the entire institution and framework to prioritize values like the greater good, society, the environment, and the upliftment of communities."
As might be expected, Orrin, who calls himself a cyborg, was mocked extensively.
This led him to appear in a YouTube interview on a channel known as ApexTV—a platform that often features individuals claiming to be from the future—where he reiterated his warnings.
In the interview, Orrin faced questions such as 'Is there a Matrix?', 'Why is the corporation trying to divide us?', and 'How can humanity escape the Matrix?'.
He answered: "We are being suppressed by a corporation. They deceive us with marketing strategies and propaganda to make us despise ourselves, and to cause division based on gender, race, sexuality, identity, and preference."
Reflecting on this unusual interview, reactions on social media varied widely.
One individual commented: "Why are people laughing at him, maybe he really wants to help us. I have nothing to lose by believing him, but not believing him could be disastrous in the future if he really is a cyborg."
Another person remarked: "I don’t doubt anything anymore. Everything is a possibility. Our government proves it to us every day. Lol."
However, not everyone was convinced, as another user noted: "He's pretty articulate for this to be just a figment of his imagination."
Another observer expressed surprise, commenting: "I'm most amazed that he managed not to laugh even once."
