A man has claimed that he lived 51 full years inside a single dream, and during that time, he says he witnessed a disturbing event involving President Donald Trump in 2027.

Listening to someone describe a dream is often one of the least interesting conversations imaginable, and most people tune out almost immediately. Still, when someone insists they lived an entire separate life while asleep, curiosity tends to take over.

The discussion unfolded on Reddit on December 22, where the original poster said he remembered nearly every detail of his dream, right down to the eye color of his blond-haired, 5'4 " wife who he tied the knot with at the age of 28 in 2028. Oh, he said he was born in 2000 - adding that in real life he wasn't."

He claimed her eyes were blue and said she resembled a female version of Kurt Cobain, the late Nirvana frontman.

When other users asked whether he remembered anything about politics from this dream life, he offered a detailed and unsettling account of what he says happens to Trump.

"Our current president gets assassinated in 2027. JD finishes his term out and loses to Gavin Newsom who then serves two terms, then AOC [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] serves one, followed by two terms from pete buttigieg," he replied.

According to the Reddit user, Trump survives one attempt but faces another assassination two years later, and this time he does not make it.

What stood out even more to readers was his claim that the Democratic Party goes on to hold power for five consecutive terms, something that has never happened before in U.S. history. The current record stands at four straight terms between 1933 and 1945, which also belonged to the Democrats.

He later clarified that both Newsom and Buttigieg eventually split from the Democratic Party to form what he described as a new breakaway political group.

When pressed for more detail about the alleged assassination, he explained the moment further, writing: "International trip to japan to meet with takaichi. Sniper at the airport where he landed, never caught the guy. Suspected to be a member of the us military."

No matter where someone falls politically, most people would agree that violence and assassination are not something anyone wants to see repeated.

The man added that the dream felt like he lived through every moment, even though he admitted he could not remember every detail, comparing it to forgetting small moments from years ago.

He went on to describe the strange feeling of the experience, saying: "I really can't describe the feeling of unrealness. If I had become a philosopher maybe I could. It was just, there. No, I don't feel like i have two identities. More like I was in the body of another person. Not that I felt like myself in the dream, but it feels like that now. I was him, he wasn't me. We have similar personalities, I think we would have been really good friends."

As for how a dream could feel this detailed and real, one commenter offered an explanation that many readers found believable, whether they believed the story or not.

"This sounds like lucid dreaming! I have this all the time and sometimes differentiating between real events and dream events are hard," they wrote, before explaining techniques they use to tell dreams apart from reality. More than a few readers joked that it sounded straight out of the movie Inception.

In a lighter moment, one Reddit user asked him a simple question: "Was it a happy life?"

"Very, I smile looking back on it," he replied.

In the end, readers were left to decide for themselves whether this man truly experienced more than five decades inside a dream, or whether it was simply an unusually vivid story that captured the internet’s attention.
