Man Makes 'Fireproof' Shield Out Of Pineapple Skin And People Are Shocked It Actually Works
In a widely shared video, a person demonstrates how to create a fireproof shield out of pineapple skin.
Before we go any further, let me just say that this is obviously quite dangerous and should not be attempted at home.
If you need to subject pineapples to extreme heat, do it on the grill as part of some tasty tacos al pastor—not as a flamethrower shield.
Leave the Jackass-level stunts to the professionals and YouTubers.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's look at some amazing characteristics that pineapples appear to have.
Though they may be better known as the "fruits that eat," pineapples appear to possess other qualities besides making your mouth hurt as their enzymes break down your flesh.
Instagram influencer @tylercsatari starts a popular video by putting a white hot metal ball on the skin of a pineapple.
Much to the surprise of onlookers, the ball did not burn through the pineapple, which inspired the influencer.
He went on to explain how he used a laser equipment to precisely cut out a hardwood frame.
He shaped his shield first, then took numerous pineapples and cut off their skins thickly before taping it to the front.
Then, he and his helper light up their flamethrower, which they had most likely been keeping around for some reason, and proceed to test the shield's functionality.
Since balloons and human flesh are essentially the same, they began by putting a balloon behind the barrier to determine if it would withstand the heat.
Naturally, the balloons burst, but it didn't stop our carefree streamer from putting out the shield as a blue flame was directed onto the pineapple skins.
You see, this explains why women typically live longer than males.
Thankfully, it appears that the pineapple skin was effective in preventing the streamer from needing to be sent to the hospital after suffering third-degree burns.
The success astounded everyone, with one writing: "Oh my goodness that’s amazing," while another said: "Nature has a solution for everything."
A third person joked: "Dragons hate this one simple trick!"
You may also use extra pineapple skins to make tepache if you don't want to use them as a flamethrower shield.
This is a popular low-alcohol beverage that comes from indigenous tribes in Mexico and is made from fermented pineapple rinds. It is refreshing.
