A man switched his living situation to a luxurious five-star all-inclusive resort for a month after discovering it cost less than his monthly rent and bills combined.
Imagine you're sitting in a dim home office or at a desk high up in an office building, daydreaming of relaxing on a beach with a cocktail.
Well, that dream might just become a reality.
TikToker Josh Kerr was browsing online for an all-inclusive vacation when he noticed an option to select '28 nights' for his stay.
To his surprise, the cost for staying a whole month at a resort was roughly the same as his monthly rent.
After a bit more digging, Josh realized that not only was the cost comparable, it actually turned out to be cheaper than what he usually spent on rent and other expenses back in Manchester, UK.
But how is that possible?
He discovered a five-star all-inclusive resort in Antalya, Turkey, equipped with a pool, gym, and more, all for just $1,175.
Josh then calculated all his monthly expenses—rent, council tax, and the like—which totaled $1,191.
"So that's not even including food or drink or anything," he mentioned on an episode of ITV1's "Holidays: Get Away For Less."
Josh eventually traveled to Turkey in partnership with On the Beach, where he stayed at the Port River Hotel and Spa in Antalya.
There, he enjoyed endless food, drinks, and was just 300 meters away from a stunning beach, as he shared in a TikTok video.
And the resort was also close to an old city with beautiful ruins, perfect for when Josh wanted a change of scenery—though he admitted he could have just stayed with the cocktails, beach, and pool.
Josh's clever move has quickly captivated social media users.
One X user exclaimed: "There's a guy that has moved into an all inclusive 5* resort in Turkey because it works out cheaper per month than his rent and bills in Manchester which doesn't even include food… He's found the ultimate cheat code to the cozzy livs."
"When I get a 100 percent remote role I'll be doing the same thing," another user declared.
A third commented: "That's bonkers."
"Genius," a fourth said.
And a fifth resolved: "Legend."
