Man Proposes To Teacher Girlfriend With Help From Her Beloved Students

#1 She Loves Her Students

The way to fourth grade teacher Mandy Toombs' heart is through her students. And when her boyfriend of 3 years, Justin Coates, decided ask for her hand in marriage, he decided to involve her students, past AND present, in the big proposal.

#2 It Took 3 Months To Pull It Together

It took Justin months to orchestrate the proposal. He even had past students of Mandy's record a video telling her to "say yes!"

"I knew I wanted to propose at her school, some way, somehow and let the kids be a part of it all," Justin told reporters. "That's what means more than anything to her -- her kids."

#3 It Was A School Wide Event

Justin got everyone he could think of involved. Her family, friends, students, other teachers, and even the Principal of the school. They recorded clips to play in her classroom just before he asked the question.

#4 Lot's Of Helpers For The Big Question

On that September morning, the principal arranged for Mandy to be called out of class long enough for Justin to set everything in motion. He got both her morning and afternoon students to the classroom before she returned for the big event.

#5 She Said YES

After she was presented with the videos of everyone she knew asking her to say YES, she was shocked when Justin and 3 students walked in with a sign that read, "Will you be Mrs. Coates?" She cried, then laughed, and of course was "YES!"

The entire room of students and faculty cheered.

#6 The Happy Couple Now Officially Engaged

Mandy and Justin received Thank You notes from parents for having their children be a part of the event. Mandy said, "To have Justin make those three boys a part of my big day, it put the icing on the cake."

The happy couple of 3 years has yet to set a date for the wedding, but it's a safe bet that her children will all be in attendance.
