But what if the issue goes beyond snoring? In an unusual case, a man has refused to share a bed with his wife because she doesn't shower before getting in. This may seem like a minor issue, but for this couple, it has caused a rift in their relationship. The man, who works in a different field, has revealed that his wife is a gynecologist, and he feels uncomfortable sharing a bed with her after she comes home from work without washing.
Man Refuses To Share Bed With His Wife Because She Won't Shower Before Bed
A man has recently shared his experience on the popular "Am I The A**hole" forum on Reddit, revealing that he has made the decision to sleep separately from his wife.
This decision is due to his wife's reluctance to shower after coming home from work.
According to the post, the man's wife works as a hospital gynecologist, exposing her to various bodily fluids throughout the day.
Despite this, the man has asked his wife to shower before getting into bed, citing concerns about hygiene and potential contamination.
The man's post has sparked a heated debate among users, with opinions split on whether or not he is justified in asking his wife to shower before getting into bed.
"There is absolutely nothing wrong with a quick shower after coming home. And nothing wrong with staying away from someone until they do. You were free to ask and she was free to say no [...] while accepting the consequences of refusing. You sleep on a lumpy couch and she sleeps alone," one person penned.
Another explained: "[I] have multiple physicians in the family and they all shower at work before even leaving the hospital after rounds since they don't want their cars getting dirty."
Though it would seem not everybody was on his side, as a third penned:
" [She wears] gloves, masks, scrubs, shoe covers - what exactly is exposed? You think she's naked while delivering babies or doing pap smears? And, well, she is a doctor, and I would think she'd know if there were particular risks to you."
A fourth added: "She’s the doctor. She has to follow rigorous hygiene procedures during her work. Apart from BO she would be fine."
