Man Repeatedly Shakes Woman's Airplane Seat After She Refuses To Stop Reclining Her Chair

Flying can be uncomfortable when trying to sleep in those uncomfortable seats, grabbing the center armrest, and not to forget the  unpredictable turbulence. 

There are countless horror tales about enraged passengers fighting with one another over trivial issues. In those circumstances, it can be challenging to decide who is right.

People are now debating who is correct after a man and a lady got into an argument on one flight to Charlotte.

The lady in the video captured the interaction on the flight out of New Orleans, and A&E TV posted it on the video-sharing app TikTok.

Before she began filming, the passenger behind her was shaking her seat. She questioned him about his motives at the start of the recording.

“I asked you politely if you would mind not disturbing my meal while I’m trying to eat…and you decided to push [your seat] right back in the middle,” he said. “It’s quite an [n] ignorant thing to do. What’s your problem?”

“I don’t have one,” she said. 

In response, he repeatedly tapped the top of her seat. According to A&E TV, the woman insisted that she required the seat to be reclining for an unidentified medical reason.

The commuter behind her wasn't bothered by her claim, though. He struck her as she kept her seat reclining. However, it appears that the strikes are insufficient for him. The passenger tightened his hands and punched her seat, shaking it.

At various points, the strikes sped up and slowed down. However, he made no compromises whatsoever. For a total of six minutes, he kept pushing her seat! She, therefore, made the choice to inform a flight assistant.

“The man behind me is continuously, purposefully banging into my seat,” she said.

The flight attendant, according to A&E TV, did not support the lady. The woman was instead issued a notice for a disturbance.  In the video’s caption, they ask, “Whose side are you on?”

In this case, the majority of commenters supported the guy. A lot of people claim that being jammed into your position by the person in front of you is a very unpleasant experience. 

“I’ve been up against a wall like that with the person in front of me reclined, it was an anxiety-ridden 4-hour flight of hell,” one person commented. Another individual made the observation that because he was in the last row of the plane, he had no room to recline his seat. “Looks like he’s in the end row so he really has no room,” they wrote.

Some individuals sided with the woman. After all, there is no regulation preventing you from reclining your seat. “If the seat reclines, she can recline. I’m very confused why she got the notice!” one person wrote.

“Anyone who reclines on an airplane are a--holes period but they have the right to be an a--holes, unfortunately,” another added.

Some people thought that both parties handled the issue badly. People argued that he shouldn't have reacted violently and that she ought to have been more careful when reclining her seat.

Regardless of which side you're on, if everyone handled their fellow passengers with the greatest respect they could muster, future flights would be a little less miserable.
