Hundreds of millions of Americans lose billions of dollars to scammers each year. What really goes on at the other end of the line?
Do you know who scam callers are? Scam callers are a well-known threat who prey on the elderly and the naive to steal money from them. It is obvious that some scam callers operate in different countries to grab money from people.
Youtuber Scambaiter puts up a clever trap to seize a whole call center, and you can watch the entire scene from their CCTV in Punjab, India.

This particular scam involved acting as Geek Squad and billing $250 for "NSA 2600," an allegedly award-winning anti-virus program.
In addition to gaining complete access to the fraudsters' computers, networks, and data, the scammer even discloses their over $107k earnings in less than four months. Shocking! Isn't it?
While keeping an eye on them with their own security cameras, Scambaiter turns off their phone services, deletes all of their "customer" data, and reports them to the police.
Scambaiter did a really great job.
Out of 31 Americans, 19 percent of them claim to have fallen victim to phone scammers, according to Truecaller.
In 2021, the typical individual lost $502 (up from $351 the year before). An estimated $29.8 billion in revenue was lost to phone scams in 2021.
