An Iowa City man was arrested for drunken driving but not before taking a Snapchat selfie with the arresting officer.
Iowa City Police said Gilbert Phelps, 20, was pulled over for speeding just after 2 a.m. Thursday and officer Ben Hektoen noticed "an odor of ingested alcohol" coming from the car.
Gilbert admitted to Hektoen that he had smoked marijuana before driving and was asked to take a breath test and an evaluation for marijuana intoxication.

While being tested, Hektoen wrote in his report that Phelps "requested to take a Snapchat selfie with me to which I happily obliged," according to the complaint.
Phelps then captioned the photo using a police car emoji, a passenger car emoji and a tow truck emoji, the complaint said.
Phelps was charged with drunken driving, a serious misdemeanor, and was being held in the Johnson County Jail on Thursday morning.

As you can see from the following pictures this isn't the first time someone has taken a selfie with the police... but it's probably the first time anyone has taken one while under arrest lol.
