One of the biggest worries in a relationship is that your significant other might cheat on you. People tend to cheat for all kinds of reasons instead of confronting the issues that are causing them to stray. One man took it upon himself to catch his wife cheating by using an app. Now, he is facing up to 15 years in prison for his actions.
Man Uses An App To Catch His Cheating Wife And Is Now Facing 15 Years In Prison For It
Find My iPhone
Nowadays, you can easily keep track of your significant other online. With just a few clicks, you can see the photos and statuses that they are liking on their social media accounts. If they are careless and leave their phone lying around, you can check their text messages as well. However, there is an app that lets people keep a close eye on their partners. Find My iPhone was designed to help people find their phones if they become lost or stolen, but some people are using the app to stalk their significant others.
Keeping Tabs
It does not say much about your relationship if you are so insecure that you need to use this app to keep tabs on your other half. Cheating is a hard thing to deal with, and unless you can catch your partner in the act, it is an even harder thing to confirm. It seems that people are now learning that going through such desperate measures could actually land them in jail.
Where is she?
New Jersey man, Sean Donis, was suspicious that his wife, Nancy, might be cheating on him for quite some time. He was desperate to find the truth. He decided to use his wife's iPad to check where she was on a night where she said that she was going out to dinner with some friends. This is when he found out that she was actually at her employer, Albert Lopez's, home instead. What made things worse is that she left Sean home with their five-year-old while she was off on a tryst.
Busted!
Sean was pissed, to say the least, and decided to go to Lopez's home in order to catch his wife in the act. Instead of waiting nearby for his wife to leave Lopez's home, he decided to break into the home.
After entering the home, Sean recorded his wife and her boss naked, and in the video, you can hear him say, "All on video! Both of you motherfuckers are fired tomorrow." He also threatened to send the video to his wife's relatives, something he reportedly did.
During his trial, Sean's lawyer said, "The defendant should be given a medal for the amount of restraint he showed when he entered that scene. He commits a trespass that in a sane jurisdiction is a violation and not a crime, and he uncovers the greater evil of his wife screwing some stranger. No jury is going to convict this man of anything, let alone a felony." During the trial, the judge had to reprimand Sean for referring to his wife's actions as "banging."
No Regrets
"Did you even think what effect the defendant finding out about you two would have on their child?" Sean's lawyer asked Lopez, and he answered yes when he was questioned, “but you banged her anyway?”
"Did you take advantage of your position as his wife’s superior to get her into bed with you?" Sean's lawyer continued, adding, "who the hell are you to sleep with another man’s wife?"
"It was never discussed because he was out of the picture as far as I was concerned," Lopez said.
Dennis and Nancy have divorced since the incident, that took place in April 2016, but the court has not decided whether Sean will serve time in jail over his actions. He could face up to 15 years.
