A mother claims that her ex-husband promised to save orphans despite not seeing his children and left her for a Ukrainian immigrant, leaving her feeling "riled."

28-year-old Lorna Garnett has criticized her former partner Tony Garnett, 29; she claims that since he dumped her for Sofia Karkadym, he hasn't bothered to see their children.

Following Lorna's kind invitation of Sofia into their house as part of the government's refugee rehoming program, Tony and the 22-year-old made headlines.

However, less than two weeks after Sofia came in, the couple started dating and surprised Lorna, which sparked controversy.

The newlyweds, who are currently sharing a rental unit, have since made the decision that they intend to travel back to war-torn Ukraine to help rescue "hundreds of lives."

But Lorna has called their intentions "laughable" and charged Tony with putting refugees before his two children.

The West Yorkshire mother, who is from Bradford, said to The Sun Online: "It riles me a bit, he hasn't seen his kids in 3 months… What about helping his children?

"He needs to put his kids first before helping anyone else in Ukraine.”

"He just hasn't been bothered to contact them. It's laughable, absolutely laughable."

After reportedly abusing her with harsh messages, Tony allegedly had a restraining order granted against him, according to Lorna.

It was suggested that for him to see his kids, a child arrangement order should be put in place.

Tony responded to the accusations and said: "If I go to even ask to see my kids or even go near the house - I will get arrested.”

“She said the plans are laughable because I want to help people that are fleeing a war zone and there are children dying?”

"My kids come first before anything else.”

"I would do anything for my kids but I cannot see my kids because of her lies."

The father has also been accused of failing to send child support by Lorna, who is jobless; he also denies this.

She added: "How he thinks he can go over there and save lives and yet there is an army out there doing that is beyond me.

"How one man can do it on his own is beyond me - it's nuts. Good luck to him!"
