Most nutritionists like to say that you should cut fast food from your diet if you ever want to lose weight. One man has challenged this perception and proved it wrong. He did it by eating pizza every single day. Take a look at his amazing story.
Meet The Man Who Ate Nothing But Domino's Pizza For An Entire Year And Still Managed To Lose Weight
#1
Brian Northrup, who is also known as the “Lord of Pizza” wanted to prove that you could eat what you wanted while still losing weight. To do this he would eat one pizza from Domino's every day for over a year. The native of New Jersey kept track of the entire 367-day ordeal on his Instagram where he posted pictures of each pizza he purchased while also posting videos of him eating the pizza on YouTube. After the experiment ended, Northrup managed to have lost 5 pounds while also being in excellent shape. His secret? He worked out.

Brian was quoted as saying: “If you see me, a relatively small guy, who was never a good athlete … I want to be a reminder of what’s possible through hard work. Too often have I heard trainers, fitness ‘gurus’ and even doctors tell people: ‘You can’t outwork a bad diet.’ I believe all of those people vastly underestimate what is possible through hard work.”

He added: “Just look at Michael Phelps; the man became arguably the greatest athlete in the world on a diet he claimed consisted of pizza as well as a lot of other commonly labeled ‘bad’ foods on a daily basis. I think a good diet is highly dependent on the individual and it is more important to focus on making sure your diet includes everything you need, than what you need to cut out.”

Northrup started an intense workout plan during his pizza challenge that included 30 minutes of cardio each day and full body lifting for at least an hour, 4 days a week. He said that on top of losing weight, he's also in the best shape of his life.

In an interview with LAD Bible he said: “Burning off calories is not my reason for working out, to me that’s putting the cart before the horse. Basically, I eat more in order to work out more – as opposed to working out more so that I can eat more. That may seem like a silly shift in semantics, and maybe it is, but if so it’s a silly shift that has lead me from being unable to run from one class to another for 60 seconds straight, to running double digit miles daily.”

Another key portion of his plan was the regular consultation of his doctor, whom Nortrup visited many times over the course of the 367 days. He did it to make sure his sodium and cholesterol levels were safely in check. He said that the doctors told him his numbers were “well within the range of what is considered to be healthy”.

On the last day of his amazing challenge, Northrup upped his pizza intake to 3 medium sized pizzas and STILL ended up losing five pounds when he stepped on the scales the following day.

It may be hard to believe but Northrup isn't the only person to prove that you can lose weight and be healthy while eating foods that are generally thought to be bad for your health. Earlier in 2017, a guy lost over 32 pounds in 100 days with a diet consisting solely of ice-cream. In 2014 a high school science teacher managed to shed 37 pounds while eating only McDonald's for 90 days.
