Michelle Obama isn’t holding back when it comes to the nonstop divorce rumors surrounding her and Barack. She’s made it clear exactly how she feels about all the speculation.

This isn’t the first time she’s spoken up about it either. Michelle has been very open in the past, calling out the gossip for being totally baseless.

In a chat with Steven Bartlett on the Diary of a CEO podcast, she explained that if she and Barack were ever going to split, “everyone would know.”

She also touched on how some people just can’t seem to grasp the idea that she might be capable of making her own choices, which is where a lot of the assumptions probably come from.

Now, the former First Lady is once again shutting down the rumors, this time during an appearance on NPR’s Wild Card podcast hosted by Rachel Martin.

Michelle, now 61, talked about how much her life has changed since the White House years. These days, things are a lot more relaxed and lowkey.

She reflected on how different things feel now, saying: "It takes a second when you start thinking, well 'can you go here? Can you say this? Can you touch this third rail?'."

"You know knowing that even in this phase in our lives when Barack and I say something right or wrong it does get covered, you know? The fact that people don't see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumors of the end of our marriage, I mean it's sort - it's the apocalypse!"

She added that since both she and Barack are in their 60s, they’re just not the kind of couple to post every little moment on social media. As she put it: "You just are not going to know what we're doing every minute of the day, you know, and yes, I guess we're famous but we're 60 we don't take selfies!"

Michelle kept the mood light by adding: "Barack was joking, he's like, 'you don't even take pictures of anything we do', I was like, 'I'm not thinking about a picture'."

"So, I think them breaking the habit is as much of an adjustment."

Michelle and Barack first crossed paths in 1988 while working at a law firm in Chicago. Back then, Michelle had been assigned to mentor Barack.

They tied the knot four years later. Their daughter Malia was born in 1998, followed by their second daughter, Natasha, three years after that.

Barack went on to make history in 2009 when he became the first Black President of the United States.

He led the country for two full terms, wrapping up his presidency in 2017.

Since then, he has admitted that their time in the White House didn’t come without its challenges, including strain on their marriage.
