In the past few years, Iron Mike has been more open about his life and how certain experiences in life have changed him as a person. Recently, the legendary boxer shared a grim reality with his worried fans where he admitted that he does not believe he has much time left on Earth.
Mike Tyson Believes He’s Going To Die ‘Really Soon’ As He Nears ‘Expiration Date’
The legendary boxer Mike Tyson believes that his end is near.
The 56-year-old says he has noticed parts of his body recently and worries how much time he has left on Earth.
Speaking on his Hotboxin' podcast, Tyson said: "We’re all gonna die one day of course. Then, when I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face.
"I say, ‘Wow. That means my expiration date is coming close, really soon.'”
The man didn't share many details about his health, also, not sharing with his fans if there was anything concerning about his health.
Iron Mike reflected on how he's less focused on making boatloads of money because he feels it doesn't automatically translate into love and happiness.
“Money don’t mean s**t to me," he said.
"I always tell people: they think money’s gonna make them happy, they’ve never had money before — when you have a lot of money, you can’t expect nobody to love you.
"How am I gonna confess my love to you when you have $500 billion?
“The false sense of security.
"You believe nothing can happen. You don’t believe the banks could collapse. You believe that you’re invincible when you have a lot of money, which isn’t true.
"That’s why I always say money is a false sense of security.”
The man says that even if you have all the money in the world, it won't stop from life happening to you including facing tragic incidents in life.
"When you put money in your bank and you get a check every week and you can live for the rest of your life, is that security?" he questioned.
"That means you won’t catch a disease, you can’t get hit by a car? You can’t jump off a bridge. I don’t know. Is that security? Can money secure you from that?”
Tyson has been more open about his personal life experiences in the past few years and has also shared the life experiences that transformed him into a different man.
During an interview with Sugar Ray Leonard on his Hotboxin' podcast, he broke down in tears as he reflected on how he's a different person to the man who was the heavyweight champion of the world.
"I'm working on being the art of humbleness [sic]," he said.
"That's the reason I'm crying, 'cause I'm not that person no more, and I miss him.
"When you put money in your bank and you get a check every week and you can live for the rest of your life, is that security?" he questioned.
"And, it's not funny at all. It's not cool like I'm a tough guy. It's just that I hate that guy, I'm scared of him.
"That guy's kind of dead now... but that wasn't easy. That guy didn't want to leave. He wasn't leaving easy.
"He fought, screamed and cried and scratched all the way until he died, you know?"
Tyson remains the youngest fighter to ever win a world heavyweight title, having beaten 33-year-old Trevor Berbick in 1986, when he was just 20-years-old.
He now sells an array of cannabis products through his company Tyson Ranch.
