Audrena Cardenas was born with an extremely rare medical condition in Houston, Texas, USA. One-third of her heart was outside her chest (Ectopia Cordis) at the time of her birth. After open-heart and reconstruction surgeries, Audrena’s parents were allowed to take their baby doll home after three and a half months. Miracle baby she is!

Only 8 in one million babies are born with Ectopia Cordis, and 90 percent of them fail to survive within 72 hours of birth.
#2 Audrena's condition was discovered when her 25-year-old mother Ashley was 16 weeks pregnant.
She defied all odds and survived after the surgery. Indeed a miracle baby! She will be monitored time to time as her heart will also grow with the rest of her body. A few plastic surgeries are also planned to make her body grow as that of a normal baby's.

They created a cavity to fit her tiny heart and covered it with skin taken from other parts of her body.
