More details have been revealed after the discovery of a missing two-year-old toddler a few days back.

The unidentified toddler was discovered by Dagenham police in East London on January 29. Official police reports reveal that the child's body was found in a large builder's bucket in the family's back garden.

Her death remains unexplainable. Few locals around the area witnessed the child's body being removed from a bucket and one told the officials that the child died by drowning, however, it is yet to be confirmed.

Police officials and the paramedic staff tried to save the child who had been reported missing by her family the same day, but it was too late and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbour Shorifa Begum, 44, said she had been informed of the child's absence after seeing a crowd of seven or eight people outside the house, adding that the "family and cousins had looked everywhere."

Police, ambulance, and even the helicopter arrived on the scene. According to Begum, when she spoke to the child's mother, she revealed that the child died in a black bucket "next to a wall in the garden. A police dog had found it."

It is yet to be determined how the child passed away, but it is reported that there "there was a little bit of water in the bucket."

Tragically the family shifted to the new house only recently and Begum said she saw "the mother taking the girl to school in the morning ... carry[ing] the girl on her back. "We would say ‘hello’ to each other and they were friendly, but we did not know each other."

She went on to say that "the [police] dog found her while the family was out. I don’t know why they were out - they may have been told to or they may have been looking for her.’’

Authorities have confirmed that there have been no arrests made so far and that a post-mortem is due to take place later this week.
