Vladimir Putin, enraged by the significant Ukrainian gains that have forced the Russian army to withdraw in chaos, has announced the deployment of army reserves and has issued several frightening nuclear threats against the West.

The Russian president boasted that he had "lots of weapons to reply" to what he called Western "nuclear blackmail," and vowed to employ "all necessary means" to fight those who want to "subjugate" his country, including "neo-Nazis" in Ukraine.

However, one woman is ready for Mad Vlad's potential nuclear attack. Rowan MacKenzie has constructed a bunker underground that is equipped with everything she will need to survive the end of the world.

She spent about $8700 to build her radiation-proof bunker, which is furnished with more than just a ton of tins of beans.

Rowan has purchased an arsenal of weaponry in addition to food enough to last her for 25 years, just in case she needs to defend herself in the event of Doomsday.

“The number one must for any bunker is defense,” she says. “You need to protect yourself, especially in a ‘dog eat dog’ situation. It’s kill or be killed and you need the best possible chance of survival.”

She claims that the ability to hunt rabbits and other small games with guns will be useful if supplies start to run low.

Rowan calculates that she has invested slightly over $17,000 overall in her end-of-the-world preparations.

“I prep for now, as you never know day-to-day what might happen,” Rowan explains.

“I believe everyone should be to some degree prepared, as food is necessary for life and everyone should have extra for an emergency.”

“The day is upon us where being prepared is a blessing, as food will disappear and become overpriced if there’s a war. We will all feel the side effects eventually.”

For the past two years, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists' Doomsday Clock has been set at 100 seconds until midnight.

António Guterres, the UN secretary general, issued a warning last month that mankind was only "one calculation away from nuclear annihilation."

The seven-grand bunker owned by Rowan appears to be a wise investment.
