After being verbally attacked by his co-host after she criticized him on air, a radio personality was fired after a rather damning recording surfaced.

When Crystal Cooper, a former TV anchor, made a lighthearted joke about his computer skills, Victor Faust appeared to be upset, but he decided to hold it in until the show took a break for commercials.

The St. Louis radio host launched into an exclamation rant during which he criticized Cooper's parenting and made remarks about her appearance, particularly her weight.

Following the disgusting incident, the owners of the radio station Nexstar Media fired Faust.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a local paper, managed to get their hands on the real recording after learning what was stated during a commercial break on The Edge morning show.

In an edited clip released by the paper, Faust could be heard saying: “Listen, you're a f***ing fat, nasty, b***h. And you don't f***ing bring s*** up on-air when I f***ing had your back, you're a f***ing, fat, b***h.”

In another part of the recording, Cooper could be heard complaining that her co-host had called her repeatedly "stupid," to which he retorted: “You were making fun of me while I was messing with the computer.”

He then went on: “You have a history of attacking me on-air.”

“You're a fat, self-righteous, b***h.”

“And every day you come into this f***ing studio, I will f***ing call you what you are: a f***ing fat nasty b***h.”

He continued by stating audaciously that Cooper "only had this f***ing job because of [him]." He said that he had visited the administration of the station "five times" as a result of Cooper's alleged "attacks" on him.

Defending herself, Cooper said: “You've yelled at me twice and this is the second time on break now.”

Additionally, she claimed that she had "never attacked" Faust.

But he didn't stop there.

Faust said: “The problem is that you think whatever you do is right.”

He then told her to 'shut [her] f***ing mouth.’

“You had no f***ing reason to attack me on-air yesterday and you did,” he countered.

When Cooper told him to ‘grow the f*** up’ he responded: “You grow up, you fat b***h.”

Then, doubling down, he could be heard saying: “Your kids have a terrible f***ing mom, I feel sorry for them.”

The show has reportedly been canceled "for the time being," according to the publication.

After then, Faust told the Post-Dispatch that the video was real and that there was more "background" than was originally known.

A statement from Nexstar to the same outlet read: “Vic Faust no longer works for FOX 2, (sister CW affiliate) KPLR or NEXSTAR MEDIA.”

Faust later tweeted: “I am very sorry. My words hurt Crystal, my colleagues, and my family.”

"I made a huge mistake and I’m ashamed.”

"As I work to earn trust again, I hope we can have an open dialogue about respect in the workplace and forgiveness.”

"My mistake is not my kids'. Please respect their privacy.”

On his Facebook page, he posted: “I would have apologized immediately but for my now-former employer’s request that I not speak publicly until they completed the investigation.”

"I did reach out to Crystal three times trying to apologize before the story went public.”

"I also offered to publicly apologize on Facebook before the story went public.”

"Despite the issues we had for weeks leading up to me being secretly recorded, I should have never acted as I did to her.”

"I know there are people who don’t believe that I’m sorry. I get it.”

"I have earned all the bad that comes with this. I had a terrible moment recorded and I will regret it the rest of my life.”

"Those who know me the best, know that I’m not a bad person.”

"I thank you for your public and private support. I also say thank you to FOX 2 General Manager Kurt Krueger and FOX 2 News Director Audrey Prywitch for treating me with so much respect during my 7-plus years at the station.”
