'Guess who is modelling in NY for NY fashion week xx' Ms Stuart wrote to her 60,000 Instagram followers.
#2 Ms Stuart wrote 'Yahoo and yippee' on her Facebook page to her 435,000 followers following the announcement that she would model at NYFW on September 13.
#3 Madeline Stuart will be the second woman with Down's syndrome to model on the NYFW catwalk after American Horror Story actress Jamie Brewer in February.
#4 Madeline was able to realize her dreams of becoming a successful model after working her butt off.
#5 New York Fashion Week is a dream come true for Maddy.
She has three holes in her heart and a leaky valve, but the brave teen manages this with daily heart medication which has so far put off any need for further heart surgery.

"She's been asked to do a lot of stuff and I was hoping she'd get asked to do NYFW but I assumed it would happen.
"I hope that doesn't sound too pretentious."
