Mom 'Tried To Offer Three-Month-Old Baby As Human Sacrifice In Horror Cult Ritual'

It has been reported that a three-month-old infant was on the verge of being sacrificed by his own mother as part of a terrifying cult ritual.

Thankfully, authorities were able to step in during the sick ritual attempt, and Mexican officials intervened and saved the child before any sacrifice could occur.

The baby was later placed in the custody of the Officer of the Procurator for the Protection of Juveniles in Mexico after a woman who was thought to be his mother attempted to murder him.

During the attempted sacrifice on Monday, October 10, she is claimed to have been under the influence of drugs, according to reports in the local press.

Mayra Montellanos, 43, has recently been confirmed to be the mother of the three-month-old.

After realizing she was drunk at the time of the attempted sacrifice, the parent is believed to have been given the care of family members.

Montellanos has insisted that the incident was a terrible mistake and that the cult ritual was not as it first seemed.

An eyewitness to the alleged crime called emergency services at around midnight and left an anonymous report, which prompted State Police (Policia Estatal Acreditable) to rush to the scene of the near-fatal incident.

The unnamed witness allegedly reported seeing a black woman sitting on a bench holding a naked baby.

It is thought that Montellanos was preparing to perform a ritual that would have qualified her for membership in an unnamed cult but was stopped by authorities before the sacrifice could be made.

State police allegedly caught Montellanos off guard when they arrived at the site after receiving a tip from an unidentified witness.

According to reports, Montellanos attempted to throw the baby at the ground before police arrived on the scene and were able to arrest her.
