#1 Facing Criticism Over Ignorant Behavior

H&M has apologized for marketing a hoodie captioned "Coolest Monkey In The Jungle" with a black boy as their model. According to the company, they have removed the jumper from their collection and it has also been withdrawn from the market. Following the controversial hoodie, The Weekend and G-Eazy bashed the Swedish brand for their poor choice of words and racist content and have announced that they will no longer work with the brand.

However, in the midst of all this controversy which has become the most discussed topic of social media, the mother of the child model isn't the least bothered by the scandal and has even suggested people get over the issue.

#3 Every one Is Entitled To Their Opinion

Terry Mango, originally from Kenya lives in Sweden and on her social media account posted "[I] am the mum, and this is one of the hundreds of outfits my son has modelled. Stop crying wolf all the time, [it’s] an unnecessary issue here. Get over it. ‘That’s my son, [I’ve] been to all [of his] photoshoots and this was not an exception. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about this. I really don’t understand but not [because I’m] choosing not to but because it’s not my way of thinking. Sorry."

Justifying her opinion, Mango said, "If I bought that jumper and put it on him and posted it on my pages, would that make me racist? I get pples opinion, but they are not mine."

#5 H&M Haas Issued an Official Apology

Apologizing for their ignorant behavior, H&M posted an apology on their website, stating, "We’re deeply sorry that the picture was taken, and we also regret the actual print,” the company said in a statement. “Therefore, we’ve not only removed the image from our channels, but also the garment from our product offering. The statement continued: “It’s obvious that our routines haven’t been followed properly. This is without any doubt. We’ll thoroughly investigate why this happened to prevent this type of mistake from happening again."

#6 Stars Speaking Up Against Blatant Discrimination

Apart from The Weekend and G-Eazy others who have spoken up against the AD are Manchester United Forward Romelo Lukaku and NBA megastar LeBron James. Expressing disappointment over the racist content, James said, "We as African Americans will always have to break barriers, prove people wrong and work even harder to prove we belong but guess what, that’s what we love because the benefits at the end of the road are so beautiful!"
