What are some upcoming films that you can't wait to see?

Perhaps you’re eagerly anticipating Joker 2, or are you more curious about the next emotional rollercoaster that Disney has in store for us?

Whichever film it might be, it’s pretty cool to think that they’ll all be coming out within our lifetime.

However, that’s not the case for one particular movie crafted by director Robert Rodriguez and writer/actor John Malkovich.

They've put together a film called 100 Years: The Movie You Will Never See, which, as the title suggests, isn’t set to hit screens until the year 2115.

Clearly, there’s a bit of a snag since most of us won't be around to catch it—unless, of course, we somehow master the art of reversing aging.

But intriguingly, that’s kind of the whole point of it. The details of this project are a closely guarded secret, with plans to unveil them only at its premiere on November 18, 2115.

What we do know is that this film was actually made as a promotional piece in partnership with Louis XIII Cognac, which is part of the Rémy Martin family.

This experimental sci-fi movie has Malkovich in the lead role.

The film draws inspiration from the century it takes to age a bottle of this prestigious liquor to perfection.

In the movie, Shuya Chang, known from Snakehead, plays the lead female role, while Redeemer actor Marko Zaror is cast as the villain.

An interesting tidbit about the film is that it features a song by Pharrell Williams.

Although the film's complete details are under wraps, a few lucky individuals got to hear Pharrell’s contribution at a special listening party held in Shanghai back in 2017.

Pharrell’s song not only adds to the film's allure but also challenges humanity.

It’s recorded on a water-soluble clay disc, designed to dissolve if sea levels rise excessively, ensuring the song’s destruction.

Despite the shroud of secrecy over the film, the creators have released three teaser trailers with the titles 'Retro', 'Nature', and 'Future'.

To avoid any leaks before its scheduled release date, a copy of 100 Years: The Movie You Will Never See has been securely stored in the Louis XIII cellars in Cognac, France.

When the premiere date finally arrives, the storage unit will automatically unlock, allowing one thousand guests, including future generations of Malkovich and Rodriguez’s families, to view the film for the very first time.

These relatives have been gifted tickets to pass down to their descendants, ensuring that when the film does premiere, it will be to an audience with a personal connection to its creators.
